Learn the Basics of Mol Bio in a Flash

Oh the marvels of pedagogical progress!  Check out these wonderful flash animations at UCLA.  To think that many generations of scientists grappled with complex subjects aided only by the occasional lifeless image in black and white, if even that, and quite possibly lifeless text to match (don’t forget rule #2 of text book writing hinges decisively upon the alienation of all readers).

Cold Spring Harbor also has the Biology Animation Library here.
Although these 2-D animations are not nearly as visually stunning as
the faux 3-D animations at UCLA, they are useful and free. I am eagerly
awaiting the opportunity to immerse myself in the next phase of such
pedagogical progress, when I’ll transform my study in the garret into a
CAVE

I’ve added both to my "PG Education" links section on the right. I
have no plans to add a section of "R Education" links — PG refers to
Personal Genome.
